Nilofer vs Tsunami By Osama Mehmood

Nilofer vs Tsunami by Osama Mehmood

Well, what a shame. Cyclone rising towards the shores of Karachi, and guess what? Government of Sindh silent like a puppet. What's more surprising is what happened in the Sindh Assembly, when an MP inquired the Speaker about the necessary arrangements regarding Nilofer (the storm), what he replied was a master-piece, "Who's Nilofer?". And then after getting bashed by her, he finally responded seriously, and check what his reply was, "There is a Shrine of Hazrat Abdullah Shah Ghazi near the Shore of Arabian Sea, so nothing can harm us, it has always been protecting us".

How long shall we suffer under these ignorant and illiterate rulers? Same is the case with CM Shehbaz, who promised to step-down if proven guilty under the Model Town Case after a daring presser which was nothing but farse. And such are his followers, still out there to protect his legacy. And nothing impressive by Dr. Qadri in his 2nd episode of revolution. Nilofer turned out to be dead and ineffective before even touching the sands of the beach, so did those promises and dares made by those so called leaders.

Anyway, according to me, the departure of Dr. Qadri would prove to be more fruitful than alarming. Now people have instilled their Hope and Faith in only one man, Imran Khan, who's still there against this mighty Status-Quo. People of Pakistan have a firm believe in him, that he would never let go of his commitments and shall not disappoint them.

Hope is something this Nation has always responded to. Many promises have been made, made speeches have been heard, but all invain. It's the 3rd time Nawaz Shareef has been given the opportunity to serve the Nation, though a controversial one, but at least, according to him, it is. But did he learn from his mistakes? Certainly not. Can any of his follower and well wisher tell me Where's the bullet train service? Where's the revolution in economy and where are the broken shackles of loans? And last but not the least, Who's our Defense Minister by the way? Shocking, isn't it?

One positive result we've seen from last 75 days of protest is that it has awakened the people. Now a common man is well-familiar with the mindset of the traditional politicians and unity of the Status-Quo to protect this rotten system. And this Sit-in has benefitted Imran Khan more than anything he achieved in his 19-years old political career. PTI Jalsa in Larkana on November 21st shall be a game-changer. At the end, what matters will be the crowd he succeeds in pulling out that day. Certainly, poeple of Interior Sindh are grieved with the performance of PPP. People dying of thirst and hunger in the dried deserts of Thar and sadly, the Ancient CM said "Nobody's dying of hunger, people are dying of poverty and that's not a new issue to discuss". PPP's show at Mizar e Quaid, which was put up after spending billions of rupees and months of preparation was a disaster. Even Bilawal admitted to BBC that this crowd is not even the half of what he was expecting.

Imran Khan is surely putting up massive shows on short notice and everywhere he goes, he's warmly cheered and Nation is finally responding to him the way he wanted. Lahore, Karachi, Mianwali, Multan, Gujrat, all of his Jalsas were record-breaking. The Tsunami of change has finally hit the hearts of people who are coming out in large numbers to support his cause of NAYA PAKISTAN. This Tsunami will not end up like Nilofer, but In'Sha'Allah will strike with the mighty walls of the Status-Quo and indeed, crush it into pieces.
