An open letter written By Farooq Shah

an open letter written by Farooq Shah

An open letter to all my fellow PTI members (especially our younger members)

We usually bash the media, news anchors or anyone else when they criticize PTI or Imran Khan and I do believe there's a section of media who are dedicated in promoting and protecting the interests of Nawaz Shareef and his government but in my view, (could be wrong) the onus is on us young people who love and support Imran Khan. We need to work on how can we publicize our own view points and put our own ideas forward to help and support Khan in his mission and purpose in a way that is considered cultured, decent and educated by all sections of society.

We should not simply bash everybody who's against Imran Khan but rather do a bit of thoughtful research and come up with considered arguments that would get ours and IK's message across in the best light possible. If we keep dismissing people only because they criticise PTI policies for whatever reason that would simply portray us more as a cult than a democratic political party and that is not going to help IK or PTI in any way. Honestly, most of the IK bashers just don't appreciate what IK is all about and you can easily beat them on social media with their own words.

Having said that , let's make one thing clear, Imran Khan is not always right and human beings do make mistakes. Being PTI supporters we do not have to agree with everything IK or any PTI leader tells us. Let's promise ourselves that we will speak out against PTI leadership if we think they don't make sense. I support PTI and IK because it makes perfect sense to me, it has to.

Hitler's Germany collapsed not because Hitler attacked Russia but because German soldiers and German people never stood up against Hitler's stupid decisions.

Imran Khan symbolises youth. I can prove to anybody here that IK is currently the most popular politician in the youth circles of Pakistan and that makes us a powerful force to reckon with. However, it also makes PTI highly vulnerable. Youth has a tendency to appear hot headed and more often our decisions are more emotional than rational so we need to work on ourselves first and I would strongly recommend that you all read Imran Khan's book and try to understand his message. We need to fully appreciate ourselves the policies of Imran Khan and PTI before we go on preaching it to others.

As far as responding to criticism on PTI leadership is concerned, not everyone deserves our response and like IK puts it, some deliveries are 'well left alone'

Our support for PTI and Imran Khan should shine more through our own actions and words, we need to constantly keep questioning ourselves about what we do and say. We are being closely watched and observed by the media, the general public and prospective PTI members.

Let's not forget that each and every PTI member is an agent of change.

We represent change, we need to be talking sense and align with our identity as Iqbal's Shaheens and Imran Khan's Jaan-Nisars.

Pakistan zinda bad!

Thanks,

Farooq Shah
