People's Imran - The Victor Centurian By Zahra Mughis

Peoples Imran - The Victor Centurian Zahra Mughis

The Tsunami of Change swept across Pakistan as Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf broke through the Sharif-Bhutto/Zardari duopoly. October30,2011 was the inception of this political organization - a culmination of a struggle of a decade and a half.

"We will for an independent election commission, shall en route to the Supreme Court for it.."

- Imran Khan at Minar e Pakistan, Lahore, 30/10/2011 (Tribune)

The general elections 2013 were held and observed by an unprecedented numbers that bore the legal right to.vote. Pakistan's biggest vote count was underway while a speech premature to victory declaration was delivered by Miyan Mohammad Nawaz Sharif, who subsequently assumed the office for the third time.

"We will uphold a genuine opposition in the house. We accept the 2013 polls but not rigging. We demand electoral probe of four alleged constituencies."

- Imran Khan under medical treatment at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital, May2013

Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf had risen as the second highest mandated party in the county, but the irony lies in the phenomenon that the citizens of Pakistan took to street protest before the PTI Chairman could make the statement incited above. May12,2013 broke with questions on the fairness of the general elections following the statement by Chief Election Commissioner, Fakhru G. Ibrahim, that the ECP had failed to conduct free polls in the metropolitan. Lahore and Karachi had been incited with demonstrations before a call made by the leadership. A struggle began on May12,2013 and continued, writing chapters of democratic history of the world.

Imran Khan, as he was elected by the people to speak for the people, tabled the reservations before the democratically elected parliament in his very first appearance at the floor. He and his party petitioned to the election tribunals, the Supreme Court of Pakistan was filed cases with... A parliamentarian, an electable and even a citizen of Pakistan was turned a deaf ear to. 2100 pages spanned White Paper was subject to no consideration, neither was a court case nor was a tribunal filing worth the try because justice was sold at the hands of the Mir Jaffars and the Mir Sadiqs of the country's democracy.

"We will take the matters to the streets if justice is denied to us, through the constitutional avenues."

- Imran Khan (At multiple occasions through the course)

Justice delayed is justice denied. May11,2014. Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf staged a massive show and announced a six points Charter of Demands. An unfortunate announcement for many was no new demands... The old electoral audit and electoral reforms... There was nothing new to spice up the curry for the critics through the next phase of the campaign: Three massive shows in three major cities of PMLN's stronghold.

June27,2014. The scorching summer doldrums of Bahawalpur and waved out a sea of humans. Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf, then, set a time frame and put forth a demand for scrutiny in six weeks. The demand - if not fulfilled as before - shall provoke a scenario worse than 12 May 2013 , indicated the ringleader of the Pakistanis' surge...

"The fasts shall be observed in Bahawalpur and Eid will be celebrated in Islamabad."

- Imran Khan at Bahawalpur, 27 June 2014

Justice must be perceived to be served. The only perception that the Nawaz government feathered was: You have the power of the people but we hold the muscle of the authority.

August14,2014. The political pulse of Pakistan, Lahore, rose to a massive uproar as Imran Khan walked out of the pavilion. The city delved in delirium of Red and Green and began the March which none could conceive as the most important expedition of the. Champion Fighter.

PlanA: Reach Islamabad and sustain the odds until Nawaz steps down.

PlanB: Mass mobilization across the country through display of the popular will.

PlanC: ShutDownToRebuild Pakistan.

Through the Azadi Dharna staged at the D Chowk which the aspirants of NayaPakistan renamed as AzadiSquare, Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf not only put forth the people's demand of electoral audit but put staunch opposition to the Status Quo elements who kept rejoicing theatrical stage play in the sacred house, the sanctity of which remained threatened by the Terrorist Imran Khan and his Burger Army...While the critics kept milling content: Imran Khan should back down from resignation demand, Imran should settle for electoral reforms and let alone be the vote audit, PTI should perform in KPK instead of crying hoarse over four constituencies., the matter should be resolved in the parliament not on the streets... They shut their eyes on the timeline lying crystal clear before them and forgot that Imran was a sitting parliamentarian .Fair Right to Vote became the national narrative. The Azadi Bus transformed into the People's House - The Real Parliament.

Throughout his inning, Imran Khan, played extravagantly; maturing with each next challenge he faced. He stood strong and audacious. He could have thrived on the crease longer if there hadn't a need to call it inning declared. Standing tall as the nation's hope and endorser of the people's real interests, Imran Khan sacrificed the history's greatest political movement and undermined the security to right to vote for the security to right to live. Peshawar genocide will remain inscribed on the nation's memories as the day of aversion. Each eye soaked in tears pays tribute to the young martyrs, curses the barbarians and prays for a peaceful land of pure.

Be not in any delusion, Nawaz, if he and his team could battle out all odds for four months he would have resisted longer. Be not sealed in a fabrication, Nawaz, if you don't duly requite to his testimony he will stand stout to your injustice again. Do not Corner the Tiger...

Laying a political sacrifice in the larger interest of the people of Pakistan, Imran Khan called off, for the people, the sit in which he had called on for the people. One hundred and twenty six days stretched protest against the aalleged government came to an end. The nation's hope is alive as the nation's hero vindicatesd his stance:

"I have stood by the nation, I will stand by the nation."

- Imran Khan at D Chowk (AzadiSquare)

December17,2014. Imran Khan: 126 not out. Inning declared. People's Imran - The Victor Centurian...
