Three years back, on May 07, 2013, while climbing the stage to address a political rally in Lahore, Chairman Imran Khan fell from the makeshift lifter at a height of 15 feet. Bleeding Khan was immediately moved to a local hospital for initial treatment, and after that he was shifted to Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital for further treatment. It was reported that he had suffered hairline compression fracture on his vertebra (part of backbone) and has two stitches in his skull.

The entire Pakistani nation went into a state of shock after watching this horrific fall from the lifter, many prayed for his God speed recovery. It was an incident never seen before in the history of Pakistani Politics that for any politician, almost the entire nation had come out to pray for him. It was only Imran Khan, who gained much popularity among the Pakistani nation that even his political rivals gave him well wishes for his recovery. In that state of severe injury, Imran Khan was majorly concerned and worried about his nation, he addressed the nation from the hospital bed one last time before the General Elections 2013 (to be held on May 11, 2013) which was broadcasted by Pakistani Media.

He said, “How we have spent these last 5 years, You wont be able to bear next 5 years. Imran khan can bear it but you won’t be able to bear it, thats why i will say it again, I have done whatever was humanly possible for me. I have not done any favor for any one, Allah gave me so much and it was my responsibility to do it for my nation."

The severity of the injuries demanded extremely special treatment, which was provided to him in Shaukat Khanum Hospital, a local hospital that has International Facilities and a professional staff of high caliber. It was his trust on this hospital that he denied any foreign treatment and preferred to be treated in Pakistan, showing the whole Pakistani nation including the elite political class that He is a true Patriotic Pakistani who has trust over his medical facilities & institutes. He is not like other leaders and aristocrats who could not build even a small hospital for themselves to get their treatment done within Pakistan.

Allah granted him recovery from his injuries and he is among us with all his energy and charisma. It was the prayers and well wishes of Pakistani Nation that he got recovered from that incident. And we pray to Almighty Allah to give this great leader success by making his wish of “Naya Pakistan” come true and also give us courage to stand with him during all the hard times in achieving this goal.
May Allah make our dream come true so that we can proudly say that We were a part of history making in "Naya Pakistan” movement.
