Imran Khan's Name By Muhammad Arsalan

Imran Khans Name By Muhammad Arsalan

In the past, I used to be a person who was very open to discussion, defending my views regarding everything but nowadays when you talk about surroundings, mostly people discuss politics ( all thanks to Imran Khan for that). In these times when our discussions have become very polarized and people are hard to convince, I have quit discussing politics around me.

Yesterday while sitting with friends, one of my friend who is not an Imran Khan fan (which is perfectly cool and we have to accept this fact that not everyone is a PTI supporter around you) argued that Imran Khan is not a politician or even a good leader. He is into politics because he "loves fame and he is actually doing politics just to be famous"!
I smiled and kept listening patiently. My friend commented that, " you are not a real PTI fan; else you would have blasted on me by now."

That was just one incident that I quoted, let’s just take it as a "theory" that Imran Khan is in politics for "fame." How many other politicians have done politics without idolising, and people take them as ray of hope, prosperity and change? Imran Khan on so many accounts is quite the opposite to the traditional politics in Pakistan. He is not labeled as a provincial, race, communal or a cast leader. For instance, PPP is a party of Sindh and Sindhis are ruling it, PMLN is party of Punjab and Punjabis are ruling it but PTI is a party of multi-cultures, communities, casts, and races and somehow and so differently rises above all these labels.

Imran Khan is not a politician for sure because he doesn’t follow the footprints of traditional politicians of Pakistan who fool around people with false promises. He is a true mentor of youngsters who emphasises on survival as he is making the new generation to be more aware about rights and how to fight against odds and win your race in life. I still remember from his latest speech in Islamabad, where I was personally present, it gave me Goosebumps! While he told the story about his political struggle in the speech he narrated some historical lines: “My dear Pakistanis, when you will die and be presented in front of Allah, He will ask you, what did you do when you saw injustice? You will be answerable at that moment; now is the moment you have to stand up for the rights of fellow countrymen”.

In my view; Imran Khan may not be the political fit in Pakistan’s politics because he is too straightforward and honest but he has surely shaken the thrones of feudal and hereditary politicians of Pakistan. He might not become the Prime Minister but he has earned enough respect and love from people that hardly a PM can get. He might not be remembered in the official books who hold government offices, but he will never be ignored in the stories of grandparents for decades to come. He might not be having name on inaugural slabs, but his name would be engraved in the hearts and among list of people, who woke up this nation. Big upto you Khan Sahab because: Khan ka scene on hai!
